Preparing for Showcase 2017

Showcase - Ireland's International Creative Expo in the RDS.

The past number of months have been spent preparing for Showcase, I have been working on designing and producing a homeware product range with my fashion illustrations and launching my own brand. The Local Enterprise Showcase involves over 100 exhibitors supported by Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) around Ireland. 

I was fortunate to be selected to represent the Kildare Local Enterprise Office at the event.

The fair, which was founded by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI), is an international launch pad for Irish designers, manufacturers and craftspeople who unveil their new-season collections in fashion, jewellery, home and giftware.

It is a buyer-only event and not open to general public. But that shouldn't deflect from its importance in Ireland's economic landscape. It is promoted by Enterprise Ireland's market advisers internationally, who work to attract buyers to the event and help them build strong relationships with Irish companies.

I have enjoyed every moment of planning, preparing, designing, drawing, painting and making but the hard work isn't finished yet! The next few days will be spent preparing the exhibition space for the show so I will keep the updates coming!
