Meeting Mary Kennedy from RTE's Nationwide

Any body who knows me will know how much of a fan I am of RTE's Nationwide programme and Mary Kennedy. The show offers a platform for creatives and craftspeople .........and general "normal" everyday people to talk about their stories.

Generally it is career or lifestyle based. I always tune in to see the best of Irish craft and especially focused on their coverage of Showcase Ireland each year. Low and behold I knew they would be attending, so I was so excited to see them meters away from us on the Local Enterprise area balcony. 

During the event I was sketching (nothing new there), so I decided to sketch Mary. I was delighted when I was introduced to her and her reaction to her illustration was priceless.
