Irish Dog BreedsCreating artwork of animals is definitely a growing favourite of mine.

Inspired by a trip to Crufts, I painted these watercolour paintings of dog breeds that are native Irish breeds. Researching the various breeds was fascinating, I never knew there was an Irish breed of Beagle! I particularly loved painting the texture of the curly coat of the Irish water spaniel. Having curly hair & a poodle myself, I may have to use this technique again in the future!

The most famous breed of them all.... probably the beautiful Irish Wolfhound. A favourite that can be found at most Irish castles around the country.
